Facts

  • The original bell tower had three tiers with a spire.
  • The stucco moldings were crafted by Ivan and Stepan Stobensky from Zhovkva.
  • The second tier houses a bell, cast by Afanasy Petrovych in 1705.
  • On the walls of the third tier of the façade facing St. Sophia Square, there are reliefs representing the initiators of Christianity in Russo-Ukraine; the Apostle Andrew and Prince Volodymyr.
  • The first tier and part of the second tier from the original structure.
  • On the façade facing away from St. Sophia Square there are portraits of the Archangel Raphael and the Apostle Timothy.
