Facts

  • The Hilton Athens faces the Acropolis, and is situated on one of the city's most fashionable avenues.
  • The hotel was chosen to be the main accomodation site for the members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) during the Athens 2004 Summer Olympic Games.
  • Practically the first highrise completed in Athens (1963) but never gained the title of the first skyscraper of the city which, in the eyes of the Athenians goes to the Athens Tower 1 (1971).
  • The hotel has one of the largest hotel outdoor pools in the city center
  • After an extensive renovation, the hotel resumed its operations in the beginning of 2003. During the renovation works, the hotel was completely refurbished and was added a new 7-storey northern wing with an addditional 74 rooms and suites, thus rising the total of available rooms to 506.
