Facts

  • The Spree-Bogen office and commercial project, which includes the Sorat Hotel, occupies the whole of the Bolle property, including the historically protected, 190-meter long Alte Meierei Bolle from 1864.
  • The conservative and sensitive relationship of new to existing construction in this complex is particularly well done. It is the first project in Berlin to achieve an atmosphere comparable to London's docklands.
  • The Hauptbau, or main building, consists of a monumental u-shaped tower of pink granite and reflective glass. The cylindrical towers at the head of each arm dominate the promenade along the Spree.
