  • The architect got inspiration for this building from Lever House in New York City.
  • The Radisson SAS Royal Hotel Copenhagen is located in the exciting heart of old Copenhagen. The 5 star luxury hotel is a monument to Danish Modern design and extraordinary service.
  • In 1999-2000 the hotel underwent extensive renovation and alterations, except for room 606 which appears today exactly as Arne Jacobsen designed it.
  • The facade was the first curtain wall used on any Danish high-rise.
  • Two of Arne Jacobsen's most famous furniture designs, the Swan and Egg chairs, were originally designed for this hotel.
  • Was built with an airport terminal in the lobby, but this was later converted to a travel agency.
  • One of 3 Radisson SAS high-rise hotels in the Copenhagen area, the 2 others being Radisson SAS Scandinavia in Copehagen and Radisson SAS Falconer Hotel in Frederiksberg.
