  • This was Adelaide's tallest building from 1934 to 1969. Limited by a 40m (132ft) height limit, the roof was topped with a gothic style LMR reaching 52m high. The Hindley Street frontage was widened in 1939 to effectively double the size of its floor space.
  • Eclipsed the 10 storey/40m T&G Building (1926) to become the city's tallest building for 35 years.
  • This building is Heritage listed.
  • Between 2008-09 this building will be converted into a hotel comprising 182 suites.
  • As part of the redevelopment, the basement will be converted into an 11 tenancy foodcourt.
  • The building's redevelopment will also involve converting the uppermost floor and plant room into a penthouse.
