Facts

  • Nusretiye Mosque is the earliest example of 19th century Ottoman mosques built with a mixture of Baroque, Rococo, Imperial and Neo-Classical styles. The others are the Dolmabahce Mosque and the Ortakoy Mosque on the European shores of the Bosphorus, and the Kucuk Selimiye Mosque in Uskudar (Scutari) on the Asian side of the Bosphorus.
