Facts

  • Originally proposed around 1998, the Time Square project evolved dramatically over time to include commercial office space, residential units, an extended-stay hotel, and shopping center anchored by Nordstrom.
  • The Rochester City Council granted development rights to a competing firm in May 2000.
  • Time Square would have been the tallest building in Rochester had it been built. Broadway Plaza, completed on this site in 2004 took that title instead, despite being more than 80 feet shorter.
