Facts

  • One of the few tall buildings by Frank Lloyd Wright ever to come close to fruition, this design featured a comb-like set of wings and courtyards along a tall central spine.
  • The design used some of the Mayan forms Wright worked with in the 1920s in the Hollyhock House and other houses in Los Angeles.
  • This proposal replaced an National Life Insurance Building for the same company by Graham Anderson Probst & White.
