  • It was demolished in 1995 to make way for the AmerUs Annuity Group Headquarters.
  • The First National Bank of Topeka was Topeka's tallest office building for many years.
  • Chief materials were white Indiana limestone, polished granite, and steel. The entrance to the bank was finished in antique travertine trimmed with bronze.
  • Originally the National Bank of Topeka, it became the First National Bank after 1957.
  • Following construction of the new Bank of America Building in 1969 it was bought by the city in 1983.
