Facts

  • The Radisson Center was demolished to make way for the Marriott Hotel City Center. This building stood for only 12 years, by far the shortest life of any high-rise building in Minneapolis.
  • It was connected by skyway to the original Radisson Hotel, located directly across 7th Street. That building was demolished the following year to make way for Plaza VII, the home of today's downtown Minneapolis Radisson.
