  • The colors -- red and white -- mimicked that of the neighboring landmark church and house surviving from the Colonial era.
  • Used to stand on the site of a 12-story office building.
  • The tower rose at the northwestern corner of the triangular site while the rest of the site was occupied by the building's lowrise section.
  • The west side of the building featured a white wedge with a cross at the tip, the building's highest point.
