  • The ground floor is 22 feet in height and clad in glass.
  • The building gets its name from Kennedy Square, a public plaza and underground parking garage that occupied this site after the demolition of Detroit City Hall in the 1961. The square itself was named for President John F. Kennedy who gave a speech here on September 5, 1960.
