Facts

  • The original Skyhouse concept called for a 3-tower complex rising to 72-storeys and 305m (1000ft). The two smaller towers contained 48 and 36 storeys.
  • Following an economic evaluation of the scheme, the height of the tallest tower was reduced from 72 to 50 storeys.
  • One possible location for the scheme is the Greenwich Peninsula in East London, where the architects proposed building twenty of the Skyhouse towers in a new housing quarter.
