Facts

  • Canopies with rectangular openings project over the Van Buren Street sidewalk, and also from the north & south ends of the roof.
  • The top of the building is lit at night. During Christmas season holiday colors are used.
  • Detached columns on the east and west sides give the appearance of flying buttresses at the top of the building.
  • The architectural style is similar to that of Union Tower, one block to the northwest. The two buildings were constructed in sequence by the same team of companies.
