Facts

  • The open lobby is 11 meters high.
  • Designed by Alan Endall, design architect for Architectura (Stantec as of January 2, 2003).
  • Stands on the site of the Customs House.
  • In September 2007, the building was named in honour of Douglas Jung (1824-2002), who was the first Chinese Canadian Member of Parliament. The decision reversed the naming in September 2006 after Howard Charles Green, a Conservative External Affairs Minister from 1957-1963, following a petition from the community to have the naming rescinded.
  • The BOMA Go Green Certified Building is one of the greenest in the PWGSC inventory.
