Oita-ken

Oita prefecture is on the east coast of Kyushu Island, in southern Japan. Its capital is Oita City.

The famous hotsprings resort Beppu is in the prefecture, as is the impressive Mount Aso, with a volcanic crater 24 kilometers across. It is the largest volcanic crater in the world.
