Nagano-ken

Nagano prefecture was made famous to the world by holding the 1998 Winter Olympics.

The prefecture is heavily mountained, containing both the Central and Northern Japanese Alps and the mountains further to the north.

Nagano City is a well proportioned city, with several famous temples, many classic Japanese style restaurants, rivers, parks, and a modest city center.
