Hiroshima-ken

Hiroshima hosts the famous Itsukushima shrine on the island of Miyajima, the temple island. A world heritage site, the Shinto shrine is one of Japan`s great treasures. The island hosts many beautiful temples and shrines, and is a must see for any self respecting human being.

The main shrine was badly destoyed in a storm, but has since been rebuilt, and remains on the top five list of places to go on planet earth.
