Fukui-ken

When the most important prophet of Japanese Zen settled and made his main temple, he chose Fukui prefecture, and named the temple Eihei temple.

On the north coast of the Sea of Japan, the prefecture is victim to the cold northern winter winds and snows which much of southern Japan is sheltered from.
