About this Zone
River North is a large zone north of the main branch of the Chicago River, directly opposite the Loop. The area is a mixture of offices, residential skyscrapers, large hotels, and old loft and retail buildings. Several parking lots and garages are interspersed throughout the zone. Tourist-oriented restaurants and clubs line Ontario Street in the middle of River North, forming a major entertainment district.
