The wall of buildings on Michigan Avenue facing Grant Park was landmarked by the city in 2002, along with a few buildings immediately west. This stretch includes some of Chicago's most famous works of architecture and many other skyscrapers in a variety of historical styles. This "Streetwall" extends from Randolph Street south to Roosevelt Road with its midpoint at Chicago's formal axis, Congress Parkway.
