Taipei: The officials of Taipei 101, the world's tallest building, annouce plan for the opening of observatory followed by a firework display in New Year's Eve that literally turns the tower into the world's tallest sparkling rod.
The indoor observatory at 89th floor is expected to open in January 19th, 2005. Opening hours will be extended after March 1st. However, the world's highest outdoor observatory at 91st floor will not open to public until summer of 2005. Visitors will not only enjoy the views of Taipei, but also the world's fastest elvators, and the world's largest, heaviest Tuned Mass Damper.
