Toronto: 1 Sumach Street is currently the subject of a lawsuit; it is alleged that the land vendor converted the structure to be a fixture of land as opposed to its original intent by the designer, Ben Kutner, to be mobile and removable to another site. It was to be removable to across the Don River at an abandoned bridge south of the Eastern Overpass. Furthermore, a moratorium has been placed on 1 Sumach; the exhibition and touring of the 1 Sumach St. demonstration site is unavailable at this moment. This case will be brought to trial next year.
