Madrid: After a couple of months' delay, construction of Torre Espacio in Madrid will begin in April 2003. Owner and developer Inmobiliaria Espacio says it has submitted all necessary approvals to the City Council, and that construction will begin as soon as possible. The land is currently occupied by Real Madrid C.F. sports facilities. The parts of the complex to be affected by the construction will be vacated as soon as Inmobiliaria Espacio makes this request. Once completed, this tower will be 220 meters tall with 52 floors, becoming the highest building in Spain.
