News: Hong Kong's tallest closes construction stage, removes crane
Hong Kong:
On Monday, January 27, the last roof crane was removed from Hong Kong's new Two International Finance Centre. This event signals the closing of the project's construction stage even though there is still more work to be done on the roof. A jury-rigged lifting device is now being used to put the last of the remaining roof fins into place.
Over the past week the last of the Alimak elevators, attached to the sides of the tower and used to ferry materials and men, have since been removed. Work is now proceeding to close up all the remaining gaps up the side of the building and around the roof area. |
