• On September 27, 2004, Glenn Moosnick, 35, climbed over the railing on the top level of the mall and plunged to his death.
• Time Warner company, the main office tenant, moved into its new world headquarters, often described as world's most ambitious corporate headquarters, in Spring 2004.
• The structure has 2.8 million square feet of floor space, one of the largest projects ever undertaken in New York City, comparable to Rockefeller Center and the World Trade Center.
• The complex features four floors of retail space.
• Time Warner, the complex owner and main tenant, owns approximately 905,000 square feet of the complex office floor space.
• The towers are aligned along the Broadway axis while the plot is aligned with regular city blocks, so the south tower stands closer to Columbus Circle while the north tower is pushed back to the west, resulting in a large setback on the Columbus Circle side.
• The complex has a very advanced security system, which includes cameras, motion sensors, card readers and doors with fingerprint-based access.
• The complex includes a grand employee cafeteria, Park Cafe, located in the southeastern wedge above the base, which includes widely celebrated and advertised views over Central Park along with the views to the east and to the south.
• The complex has one of the largest malls in the city, which is intended to take the routine shopping back into the city center from suburban shopping centers.
• The complex has four 2000kw emergency diesel generators as well as a 1000kw uninterruptable power system which would power the essential systems in case of emergency, including elevators and broadcasting equipment.
• The mall includes five restaurants and a bar overlooking Central Park.
• The rear of the theater has a comfortable lounge with armchairs and tables for top executives, and the ceiling and walls are equipped with light fixtures that allow one to change the color of the interior.
• There are several small cafeterias intended for top executives only, each accommodating only around 5-10 persons.
• Construction accidents included the deaths of two construction workers and a fire that ruined $8 million worth of property.
• The site was once occupied by the Majestic Theatre.
• Time Warner area has a screening theater seating about 175 people, designed specifically for review of new movies by Time Warner companies (for example, the Lord of the Rings by New Line Cinema, one of the first major movies to be presented in the theater) by corporate leaders and executives.
• Home to celebrities such as Ricky Martin and Jay-Z, the complex holds the record-breaking apartment price of $42.2 million.
