  • Built on the former site of cx>117928.
  • The complex contains 5.5 million square feet of office space, 230,000 square feet of retail space, 1,298 hotel rooms, and housing over 10,000 employees, making it one of the largest mixed-use complexes in the United States.
  • An extensive renovation of the complex was completed in 2003, and included the work of many different architects including Skidmore, Owings & Merrill of Chicago, SmithGroup of Detroit, Gensler Detroit office, and Ghafari Associates of Dearborn who did the renovation of the office towers.
  • General Motors, the world's largest automobile maker, purchased the complex in 1996, transforming it into their global headquarters.
