Created in 1842 by act of the Michigan legislature,Windsor Township is a heavily wooded and rural charter township immediately to the southwest of Lansing. It completely surrounds the small village of Dimondale on the Grand River in the center of the township. It's also home to the State of Michigan Secondary Goverment Complex.
