About Eaton Rapids
Eaton Rapids is a small city located in southeastern Eaton County located 18 miles (29 kilometers) south of Lansing. The city gets its name from its location on the northward course of the Grand River between Jackson and Lansing. The city is also called the "Island City" as the downtown area sits on an island created by by the courses of the Grand River and Spring Brook.
