Facts

  • Originally built as the headquarters of the Canal Louisiana Bank & Trust Company, this building became the home of the International House upon its foundation in 1943.
  • International House eventually merged with the International Trade Mart, becoming the World Trade Center organization.
  • Operations in New Orleans were moved to the World Trade Center New Orleans located on the Mississippi River.
  • The building was converted to a boutique hotel in 1998. A small conference center is located across the street at 220 Camp Street.
