  • The First Security Building was to be demolished in 2007 to make way for the multi-block City Creek Center development. A new office tower was planned for this location.
  • Utah historic preservationists succeeded in getting the LDS church to reconsider their demolition plans in late October. Other uses are being considered as part of the large-scale redevelopment, though demolition could still happen.
