  • First building to use steel of three different strength levels in its structure: 100,000 psi, 50,000 psi, & 36,000 psi quenched and tempered steels.
  • The wall structure is supported by only 8 ground anchors. Each is a downward triangular extension of the wall.
  • This was the first exterior space frame building ever constructed, with a diagonal-grid load-bearing steel wall.
