  • When completed this was the second tallest reinforced concrete building in the United States.
  • Once completed, it was the last major building constructed downtown in nearly 30 years.
  • Landmark status was granted on April 20, 1990 following a 7-0 vote.
  • The exterior and lobbies are protected by the Seattle Landmark Preservation Board.
  • Won the Office Building of the Year award from the Building Owners and Managers Association for renovation of the 1930 art deco structure in 2002.
  • In 2005, the building was purchased by Crescent Real Estate Equities, from Ashworth Pacific, for $52.45 million.
  • The building was designed to accommodate more mercantile exchanges than any other U.S. building.
  • Winner of the 2002 BOMA International TOBY award for Building of the Year in the Historical category, topping 30 Rockefeller Plaza in the competition.
