A 2006 redevelopment plan by Detroit-area developers Sky Development, which included converting the former office building into 144 residential condominium, fell apart at the end of 2007. The building was then bought in January of 2008 by Greektown mogul Dimitrios "Jim" Papas for $5.4 million.
