Facts
- If constructed as planned, this would become the tallest building in both New Orleans and the state of Louisiana.
- This will have 12 floors of parking and the potential for ground level retail.
- Units will range in size from between 600 and 2,000 square feet.
- The Grand Regency was proposed for this site in the late 1990s.
- In summer 2006, the design was altered to eliminate all exterior balconies in order to increase the square footage of all its units.
- Project originally announced on August 25, 2005, only four days prior to Hurricane Katrina striking the city.
- Although it will be listed as having 70 floors, the tower will not have a 13th floor resulting in the official count of 69 floors.
- Floors 1-2 will contain retail; floors 3-15 will be parking; floors 18-32 would be a 435-unit condo hotel; and floors 39-69 will contain 299 condominium units.
- This will be topped with a 126-foot tall spire.
- Upon its completion, this will become the tallest building along the Gulf Coast outside of Houston, surpassing the RSA Battle House Tower in Mobile.
