- The Legg Mason Building is the tallest in Maryland, and the tallest between Philadelphia and Charlotte.
- This building was the former headquarters of USF&G, a large insurance company. After USF&G vacated the tower, Legg Mason Investment company moved their operations from 111 S. Calvert Street to the tallest building in Baltimore.
- The building was renamed into "Transamerica Tower" in November 2011.
