The Legg Mason Building is the tallest in Maryland, and the tallest between Philadelphia and Charlotte.
This building was the former headquarters of USF&G, a large insurance company. After USF&G vacated the tower, Legg Mason Investment company moved their operations from 111 S. Calvert Street to the tallest building in Baltimore.
The building was renamed into "Transamerica Tower" in November 2011.
