- The Torrey Building is 10 floors from the front (Superior Street) and 12 floors from the rear (Michigan Street). The main roof slab is 125 feet above Michigan Street.
- This was the first building in Duluth to reach 12 floors overground, third in the state of Minnesota after the Pioneer Building in St. Paul and the Metropolitan Building in Minneapolis.
