Facts

  • The St. James is Philadelphia's tallest residential tower.
  • It surpassed the Loews Philadelphia Hotel as the tallest building east of Broad Street.
  • The tower was constructed on the west side of the lot, while the historic PSFS Building overlooking Washington Square at the southeast corner of Walnut and 7th Streets was renovated into office and restaurant space.
  • Studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments are available. Only the studios do not have balconies.
  • A sun deck, health club, and 60-foot indoor pool are located on the 11th floor.
  • A parking garage, exclusively for residents, makes up the first nine floors.
  • In March 2004 the building's leasing office moved to the 23rd floor from an adjacent, off-site location.
