  • Sirkeci Train Station is the terminus for the famous Orient Express.
  • In its early glory years, it was visited by famous people like Agatha Christie (who wrote a novel about it: "Murder In The Orient Express"), King George V of England, Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria-Hungary, Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, and Czar Nicholas II of Russia.
  • Many Hollywood stars such as Greta Garbo and Rita Hayworth also visited the station - which later appeared in one of Sean Connery's earliest James Bond movies, "From Russia With Love".
