  • Used to be the tallest building in Taipei City until the topping-out of Taipei 101 in 2003.
  • Tallest building in Taiwan from 1993 to 1997. It surpassed Grand 50 Tower in 1993.
  • Surpassed by Tuntex Sky Tower in 1997, becoming the 2nd tallest building in Taiwan.
  • The first 12 floors and 2 floors underground are in use by Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, a large department store.
  • The elevator to the Observatory was the fastest in Taiwan and reached the 46th floor in 30 seconds travelling at 540 meter per minute.
  • The building used to have an observatory on the 46th floor but this closed in 2006 due to waning popularity in the face of competition from Taipei 101's observatory.
