Facts

  • Sheraton Hotel in Ankara is the most popular building designed by a foreign company in Turkey after Istanbul's Hilton Hotel (1952). The tower took an important part in the city's skyline with its excellent proportions and aesthetical values, which make it an exemplary landmark. The illumination of the tower was assembled from inside to outside in order to create a genuine vertical impression at night.
  • Sheraton Hotel, Ankara's tallest skyscraper since 1991, is designed like a "wine bottle", being located right next to the city's famous Kavaklidere Vineyards.
  • The building has 29 regular floors (with windows) as well as a few service floors at the top.
