• The hotel opened in December of 1991.
• The project had many engineering challenges, including the careful coordination of the design of power supply, service access and lighting controls for the building's signage.
• The building is equipped with water cooled electric drive chillers located in the cellar, and a rooftop cooling tower provides the building with condenser water.
• All typical hotel suites above the fourth floor are heated and cooled by individual four pipe fan coil units located in each guest room.
• The site was previously occupied by a praralellogram-shaped lowrise building that was topped by many famous signs, including the predecessors of the famous Coca Cola sign.
