Facts
- The Penn Center Inn was one of the earlier buildings in Penn Center.
- It was demolished circa 1990 to make way for twin fifty-story office towers.
- Construction began but was halted in 1991 when the owner and developer, LCPI Limited Partnership, became insolvent.
- The excavation and a partially completed foundation were covered over, leaving the existing vacant lot.
- Two different buildings were proposed for this site after 2005. The 1919 Market Street condominium building was proposed in 2005 before being scrapped in favor of the 1919 Market Street apartment building.
