Facts
- The building has a symmetrical plan of twin glass-walled cylinders peeking out from the rectangle facade with horizontal bands of glass and brown stone cladding.
- During excavation for this building in January of 1982, an 82 foot long British cargo ship from 1710 to 1720 was found buried in colonial landfill. It's unclear why the vessel was in New York as it was a southern sailing vessel. It was the first merchant ship found from the 18th Century.
