• The MGM Grand is the world's largest hotel.
• Entry into the MGM Grand features the “Emerald City” ride, sweeping guests into a tornado culminating in a visit to the Wizard of Oz.
• The building has four wings in a cross-shape. Each wing extends 335 feet from the center core. The total length of the building is 784 feet.
• The current lion statue on The Strip corner replaces the old entrance where visitors went up the escalator leading inside a giant lion's "mouth".
• The location of the annual Billboards awards ceremony.
• The resort includes 314,899 square feet of meeting and exhibit space.
• The old Marina Hotel tower was incorporated into the design of the new hotel. In fact, the reclad and refurbished tower is the shortest of the hotel's four wings.
