- Before foundations could be poured, underground structures needed to be assessed. These included the subway tunnels on Seventh Avenue and the adjacent Exxon building, east of the site.
- Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Plaza is a $250 million, 1 million-sq.-ft. office building in Midtown Manhattan and was a true fast-track project with a 25-month schedule from the start of its foundations to occupancy.
- The need for early occupancy of the tower mandated that the interiors be designed at the same time as the base building and that multiple trade packages be let and that work on the building from various trades go on simultaneously.
- 745 7th Avenue was officially topped-out on October, 27, 2000.
