Facts
- Headquarters of Waste Management, world's largest disposal service.
- The building's elevator shafts are accented by the indentions in the building's facade.
- Beginning in February 2004, this tower is seeing a complete renovation which will redefine the public plazas and main entranceway in an effort to lure new tenants.
- The indentations in the tower's north/south facades were supposed to represent an "F" for the building's main tenant at the time, First City Bank.
- The building is also the headquarters of the law firm Vinson & Elkins LLC, the building's first major tenant, moving in November 1981.
- The tower takes its name from the First City National Bank, an entity arising from a bank started by, among others, the founders of the law firm Vinson & Elkins, the tower's initial major tenant.
