Structure in General
- Utilizing bridge-like engineering technology, this 500-foot-tall reinforced concrete hotel has been built over the existing Palace Theater on Times Square.
- The hotel sits above the landmark on a hybrid composite steel and concrete bridge-like structure consisting of cross trusses and two 130-foot-long compisite trosses. Only four columns, two on either side of the theater, come down to the ground to support the structure.
- This hotel is comprised of 460 hotel suites and several giant signs facing Times Square.
