During its history this served as the home for the Birmingham South Stars (CHL in 1982), the Birmingham Bulls ice hockey for three separate stints (WHA between 1976-1980, ACHL in 1983 and the ECHL between 1992-2000) and the Birmingham/Alabama Steeldogs of the af2 between 2000-2007.
