Facts
- The former Fleet Bank Building was renamed the Bank of America Building as of Nov. 15, 2004, after a merger of the two banks. Since 2011, it no longer houses the Bank of America.
- The four corner columns are the only ones that reach the ground; the others and the partially-loadbearing facade are supported by 8-foot-deep girders above the base.
- It stands on the site of the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company Building and the Phoenix Bank Building.
